Coco Gauff enjoyed a solid WTA Tour campaign in 2024, but she will no doubt target another Grand Slam title in 2025.

Following her major title run at the 2023 US Open, Gauff came up short in the Grand Slams in 2024 with her best showings a couple of semi-final appearances at the Australian Open and French Open.

The American, though, did win a couple of big titles as she lifted the season-ending WTA Finals and also the WTA 1000 China Open. Her other title came at the ASB Classic in Auckland at the start of the year.

Gauff finished the season with a 54–17 win-loss record, slightly better than the previous year when she was 51–16.

Coco Gauff’s possible 2025 tennis calendar

United Cup – December 27-January 5

There will be no ASB Classic hat-trick for Coco Gauff as she has opted not to defend her title in Auckland in 2025 as she will compete in the United Cup in Australia alongside Taylor Fritz and Danielle Collins.

Australian Open – January 13-26

Gauff has a decent record at the Australian Open since making her debut in 2020 as she has reached the fourth round, second round, first round, fourth round and semi-finals.

In 2024, she lost her last-four encounter in straight sets against eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka.

Qatar Open – February 10-16

The Qatar Open is the first WTA 1000 event of the season and most big names take part in the tournament.

Gauff had a nightmare at the 2024 edition as she lost in straight sets in the second round against Katerina Siniakova.

Dubai Tennis Championships – February 17-23

The back-to-back WTA 1000 events in two weeks in the Middle East are usually a tall order for players.

The American won two matches in Dubai last year before losing against Anna Kalinskaya in three sets.

Indian Wells Open – March 5-16

The Indian Wells Open is no doubt high on the list of tournaments that Gauff wants to win before she retires.

She has made steady progress over the years as she reached the third round on her first two appearances, the quarters in 2023 and the semi-final in 2024.

Miami Open – March 18-30

The second leg of the Sunshine Double is a tournament that Gauff is yet to enjoy a deep run as she has reached the fourth round on a couple of occasions.

One was 2024 when she lost in three sets against Caroline Garcia.

Stuttgart Open – April 14-20

The Stuttgart Open or Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is not a WTA 1000 event, but it is a high-profile tournament for WTA players as the winner drives away with a brand new Porsche.

Gauff lost in the quarter-final in 2024.

Madrid Open – April 22-May 4

Gauff had her best run at the WTA 1000 event in Spain last year as she won two matches before losing to Madison Keys in the fourth round.

Italian Open – May 8-18

The American followed it up with a run to the semi-final in Rome as defeated Ons Jabeur in the quarter-final before losing against top seed Iga Swiatek.

It was her second last-four appearance at the Italian Open.

French Open – May 25-June 8

Gauff has an excellent record at Roland Garros as she has reached the second round, quarter-final, final, quarter-final and semi-final. Last year she lost again against Swiatek in the last four.

But she did taste trophy success in Paris as she won the doubles alongside Katerina Siniakova.

Queen’s Club Championship /German Open- June 9-15 / June 16-22

Following her extended run on clay, Gauff played only one warm-up event before the grass-court major and that was in Berlin where she lost in the semi-final against Jessica Pegula.

Gauff could also feature at the newly launched women’s Queen’s Club Championship the week before the Berlin Open in 2025.

Wimbledon – June 30-July 13

The tournament where Gauff introduced herself to the tennis world as she reached the main draw and subsequent fourth round as a 15-year-old.

She is yet to progress past the fourth round though as last time out she upset by fellow American Emma Navarro.

Citi DC Open – July 21-27

After winning the title in 2023, Gauff was unable to defend her title the following year due to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

She is set to make her fourth appearance in Washington D.C as she lost in the first round on her debut as a qualifier in 2019, finished runner-up to Pegula in 2021 and won the title two years later.

Canadian Open – July 27-August 8

Gauff struggled after the Paris Olympics and she lost in the third round of the Canadian Open last time out having reached the quarter-final the previous three years.

Cincinnati Open – August 7-18

Following her heroics in 2023 when she won her first WTA 1000 title in Cincy, Gauff slumped to a second-round defeat during her title defence.

But outside of her title run, she hasn’t made it past the second round.

US Open – August 25-September 7

The 2023 US Open champion’s defence of her crown in Flushing Meadows was abruptly ended by Navarro in the fourth round.

She reached the quarter-final in 2022, the second round in 2021, the first round in 2020 and the third round in 2019.

China Open – September 24-October 5

Gauff didn’t plan on playing at the China Open in 2024, but added the tournament to her calendar at the last minute and it was a good decision as it sparked her return to form as she went all the way.

She is expected to return for her title defence in 2025.

Wuhan Open – October 6-12

The Wuhan Open returned to the calendar in 2024 after a lengthy absence and Gauff reached the semi-final on her debut, losing against eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka.

WTA Finals – November 3-9

Gauff is the defending WTA Finals champion as she defeated Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Zheng Qinwen en route to the title in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
