The official draw for the three feature events in the 14th edition of the Guyana Cup Horse Racing Championship was staged yesterday at the Pegasus Atlantic Conference Centre, Kingston.
The three races, which carry a combined purse of $13,400,000, are the Banks DIH Guyana Cup [$7,500,000], Associated Construction Services Derby [$3,700,000], and Vals Construction Sprint Classic [$2,200,000].
The Banks DIH Cup, which will be 1600 metres in length, will be contested by 11 horses. Lining up in order from stall one, the horses are: Calibogue Sound [Slingerz Racing Stable], Everesting [Master Z], Alado [Master Z], Memories [Shaun Mohammed], Jessica’s Pride [Night Eyes], Detroit Steel [Simply Royal], Queen Domina [Slingerz Racing Stable], Our Stuie [Jagdeo Racing Stable], Settling Star (Asif Kahdeer), two-time winner Vera’s Finally [Jumbo Jet Racing Club] and Wild Texas Tom [Jagdeo Racing Stable].
