I am not a golfer. I tend to agree with Mark Twain that golf is a good walk spoiled.
However, I believe that the golf course is an important feature of our community. It is a beautiful open, green space that reflects the natural beauty of our area.
If it is not used by the majority of residents, that is not very important. Neither is the ice rink or the ski area, but both are important parts of a community such as ours. Actually, I believe I skated a few times about 40 years ago.
Penny-pinching is not appropriate in a county that Forbes says is the fifth richest in the entire nation, out of more than 5,000.
Lets keep, and maintain, an important, and historic, feature of our community.
