Students from Hockerill Anglo-European College joined the 76th TUBS (Tidy Up Bishop’s Stortford) litter pick on Saturday morning.
The clean-up crew concentrated on the area around Dunmow Road, close to the secondary and boarding school.
Organiser Ian Hudson said: “Thanks to Hockerill-Anglo European College for hosting us and for providing hot drinks and brownies afterwards.
“It was great to have around 20 students helping us.
“Thanks to everyone who is helping us raise funds by buying tickets in the East Herts lottery. You can do so online at https://www.easthertslottery.co.uk/support/tubs.”
For more information on the charity or to volunteer for the next litter pick, email irhudson@gmail.com or look at www.tubs12.info.
Ian added: “Over the last few months, we have lent our equipment to many local groups and schools and we also have had a number of volunteers collecting rubbish on their daily walks.”
