The European League of Legends competition is back. After three weeks of action-packed LoL esports goodness, the teams will continue their grind through the group stage. Exciting matchups that are expected to be close await the spectators on day one of week 4. Let’s take a look at the details of the LEC 2022 Summer betting opportunities that will be played on the first day.
After a two-week break, Excel and Astralis will take the stage in LEC Summer 2022. Following the better-than-expected start to the season, will Astralis be able to capitalize with their two-week vacation training against Excel?
Excel, who built a new roster last season and improved their performance towards the end of the season, has picked up back-to-back wins in LEC 2022 Summer. The team is currently leading the league with 5 wins in 7 games. Scores can sometimes be misleading, but they won most of their matches by playing well against the top teams in the league.
In comparison, Excel has far fewer weaknesses than its opponents. Therefore, the break was a great chance to improve on their form, which is already great.
Since debuting in the LEC last season, Team BDS have struggled to get the results they wanted. This has not changed in the second half of the league. The organization has a weaker and inexperienced roster compared to its competitors. Hence, other teams are not hesitant to punish this shortcoming.
On the other hand, MAD Lions continue their erratic performance since the beginning of 2022. Last season’s back-to-back champion has not been able to get the best out of their players this year.
With Nisqy joining the team, they are in a better position for the Summer season, but they need to be much better to be champions.
Despite everything, MAD Lions are the favourite in this series against a bad-looking opponent.
Misfits Gaming will face a tough match against Fnatic as they look to keep their increasing form graph. After starting the season on a bit of a down note with back-to-back losses, the team has started to show some of the good performances from last season in the last few weeks of the league. If they make the most of the break, Fnatic might not have as easy a win as they thought.
Fnatic is playing at the top again, just like in the entire history of League of Legends. The organization started the year with a new structure, and the current roster synergy has been good. They have 5 wins in 7 games and share first place with Rogue and Excel. They are the standout team in this series, but I don’t think Misfits will be a pushover. The two teams have averages of high kill counts. It makes more sense to say that a bloody match awaits us rather than choosing a side.
G2 Esports will once again take on SK Gaming, one of the weakest teams in the league. On paper, G2 Esports should have a comfortable win, but the European giant has been known to lose games against weaker teams.
However, the chances of that happening this time are little. SK Gaming has been playing below the quality of their roster throughout the season. On the other hand, G2 can’t afford any more easy losses as the end of the regular season approaches. Broken Blade and his friends have no choice but to win this match.
Rogue and Vitality will face off in the most prominent match of the day. With only one win separating the two teams, this match’s outcome will directly impact the top of the league.
Vitality’s brand new roster, which was formed at the beginning of last season, played a much more settled and smooth game in LEC 2022 Summer. The roles in the team seemed to be fixed, which was directly reflected in their scoring.
The stats show that both teams’ numbers are very close and similar. Considering the quality of the teams, Rogue’s squad stands out as more settled and has been playing with each other for a long time. However, predicting the side in a match like this carries some risks.
Therefore, making predictions based on game length or kills taken makes more sense.
