Nassau County hopes to lure more tourists to local businesses, events, beaches and historic sites by airing a television commercial in cities across the country, according to County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s office.
The 30-second spot “features many Long Island businesses and attractions” and will be seen in “multiple cities,” states an advisory for a news conference on Thursday.
Spending to air the commercial is a “high six figure ad buy,” according to the advisory.
Blakeman is expected to play the ad at an 11:30 a.m. event at the Nassau County Executive and Legislative Office Building in Mineola and unveil a tourism slogan for the county.
