The Parisiens come into this one in fifth place in Ligue 1, and lost their last league outing, however we at SportsLens are backing the hosts to get back to winning ways against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.
A number of key players are expected to miss out, such as Marco Asensio, Lee Kang-in, Nordi Mukiele, Nuno Mendes and Presnel Kimpembe, but with a number of key arrivals, and an excellent record in the Champions League group stages, we expect that they’ll prove to be too much for the Bundesliga outfit.
Last term, PSG boasted an unbeated record in the groups, finishing second to Benfica, followed in third and fourth by Juventus and Maccabi Haifa.
Since then, they’ve lost key figures in Lionel Messi and Neymar, but have added the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele, Manuel Ugarte, Milan Skriniar and Lucas Hernandez to their ever-growing world-class pool of players.
Our next tip for Tuesday evening’s Champions League clash at the Parc des Princes is to back Ousmane Dembele to score his first goal for PSG, against his former club Borussia Dortmund at 13/5.
Dembele featured for 67 minutes against Nice at the weekend, and for 75 minutes against Lyon, and 80 minutes against Lens prior to that. It’s rare that Dembele stays fit for an extend period of time, but when he does – he’s proven to be a deadly asset in front of goal at both Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund.
This is why we at SportsLens are backing Dembele to open his account for the Parisiens on Tuesday evening in front of the home faithful in the capital.
Paris Saint-Germain and Dortmund have played 10 games between them thus far this term, and just two have failed to have both teams scoring in them, one for PSG, and one for the German side.
Both teams have scored in all four of PSG’s last four matches, whilst they have scored 10 goals in their last three matches, and all three of Dortmund’s last three matches have had both teams scoring in them.
Due to this, and the likelihood for an attacking, open tie in Europe, we’re backing both teams to score at 8/15.
