Warren Mayor Doug Franklin having a press conference because state money was found to help tear down the city-owned 418 Main building is election season political theater at its most pathetic. The building fell apart over decades of city ownership, and now he wants good notices for its demolition? At the end of the day, the city is just another slumlord leaving taxpayers to clean up the mess.

Niki Frenchko is Warren’s answer to Marjorie Taylor Greene!

Niki Frenchko is an administrative terrorist who has taken Trumbull County hostage. Her methods for change are crass and uncouth. She has no finesse. Amazing how one person can inflict so much damage. She’s a chip off the old Donald Trump block. As a Trumbull County taxpayer, I strongly
encourage her to
attend commissioner workshop meetings. She might learn something there.

Quite a few Americans seem to mistrust integrity and validity of our elections at all levels. If you are absolutely convinced that a system is fraudulent and rigged, why would you even want to take part in it? It seems to me that, in protest, you simply should boycott all future elections until this matter is cleared up to your satisfaction.

“The war in Ukraine should be Europe’s fight, not ours.” And just how well did that thinking work out for the United States in 1941? With 420,000 Americans dead in the prenuclear age, the historical similarities are striking. “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Last week saw two of the three biggest bank failures in U.S. history, largely caused by purchase of U.S. Treasury bonds to finance federal deficit spending. These bonds plummeted in value when interest rates were raised to combat inflation caused by deficit spending the bonds helped finance. Now, we will print billions of more dollars to restore lost deposits, which will fuel more inflation. And Biden tells us all is well.

First, it was pancake syrup. Next it was boxed rice. Statues were dismantled. Even Kate Smith was disparaged because she sang a controversial song in her early career. On and on it went until much of our history was being erased. Now, the Audubon Society is under fire, and there are cries to change the name of that long-standing organization. Really? How about we try to solve current situations, which become more dire each day.
