St. Peter’s at Seton Hall picks and predictions
Seton Hall 78, St. Peter’s 58
Seton Hall (-1600) will cost you 16 times your potential return, and even in a multi-team parlay, there is no reason to include such a heavy favorite.
PASS, and look to the line instead.
SETON HALL -15.5 (-120) is a solid play in this Garden State battle in Newark.
There will likely be a flood of emotions early on for Holloway and Ndefo, but the fact so many new faces have replaced familiar ones will ease the pain. The Pirates should be able to handle their business. The Peacocks will draw a lot of attention because of their Cinderella run last season, but they’re a shell of their former selves.
OVER 131.5 (-112) is the lean here.
Seton Hall shot well in its first game, hitting 45.3% from the field while bagging 8 triples. The Pirates struggled from the free-throw line at just 59% (23-of-39). If Seton Hall picks up the pace from the line, it should be able to exceed its opening-game total in points.
St. Peter’s shot just 39% (26-of-59) in the opener, including just 27% (6-of-22) from behind the arc. With a little improvement, it too could see an uptick in offensive production. As such, the Over is the play here.
