The NCAA March Madness is heading deeper with each day and we have a long action still pending after the teams play out the Round of 32. To win the tourney, a team has to effectively win six games in a row and there haven’t been different champions with teams like UCLA and Duke holding the hegemony. In this NCAA March Madness game, Texas Longhorns are going to take on Penn State Nittany Lions.

The Longhorns come into this game after beating Colgate 81:61 behind an inspiring 23 points and 6 rebounds performance by Sir’Jabari Rice. Marcus Carr and Dylan Disu both scored 17 points each. The Longhorns were clinical in terms of hitting the long ball and banged home 13 of their 23 attempts, seven by Rice alone. They outrebounded their opponents 34-23. This was not a surprising result considering that Texas is a highly-rated team and has played an impressive brand of basketball all season long. They are expected to cruise through the earlier rounds.
Penn State comes into the contest after defeating Texas A&M 76:59 behind a 27 points outburst by sharpshooter Andrew Funk. Funk was on fire in that game and drained eight triples which helped his team earn a 13-10 advantage in terms of three-pointers. Jalen Pickett got hold of 19 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. Lions did a great job of committing just five turnovers and shot an efficient 48.2% from the field. Their defense was phenomenal too, holding A&M to just 34% from the field. Penn State has been in a great groove and entered the tournament just three points shy of the Big Ten Championship against Purdue.
The Longhorns will be given an edge here but the A&M saw the fury of this superb squad first up. The Nittany Lions have given trouble to various high-profile teams. However, the Longhorns’ chances look really good here given their better balance on both ends. I do agree with the bookmakers that the edge belongs to the Longhorns and I also believe that this can be a high scorer.
