Vanderbilt basketball has added another piece to its roster for the upcoming year.
Wisconsin-Green Bay forward Emmanuel Ansong has transferred to the Commodores, the team announced Saturday.
Ansong is a graduate transfer who will have one year of eligibility remaining after spending two years at Wisconsin-Green Bay and two seasons at Division II Wheeling (W.Va.) University.
The 6-foot-4 wing from Bordentown, New Jersey, started all 28 games he played last year with Wisconsin-Green Bay, averaging 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. In two years with the Phoenix, Ansong shot 53.7% from the field. His 3-point attempts increased to 44 in 2021-22 (making 11) from 14 two seasons ago.
Ansong is the second transfer into the program for the 2022-23 season, along with former UC Davis guard Ezra Manjon.
