Jackie’s Warrior, the star of the dirt sprint division this year, returned to the work tab Monday morning for the first time since easily winning the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G1) on July 30. The Steve Asmussen trainee breezed an easy four furlongs over Saratoga’s dirt training track in 50.91 seconds. The son of Maclean’s Music is expected to make his next start in the Forego (G1) on Aug. 27.

Asmussen also sent his two-time Grade 1 winner Clairiere out for her first work since her last start, a win in the Shuvee (G2) on July 24. The Curlin daughter worked five furlongs over the Saratoga dirt training track in 1:04.78. Clairiere is probable for the Personal Ensign (G1) on Aug. 27.
