Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is reportedly going to have a protective self-healing screen that can mend itself in case the iPhone gets scratched or dented.
iPhone’s foldable version is yet to be launched as the American tech giant has not managed to structure a design that meets its high standards of quality and durability, according to Tech Radar.
Apple’s foldable iPhone’s screen is likely to comprise three main parts. These include two rigid displays and a flexible section that joins them. Either across the entire display section or just in the flexible area, a self-healing element could be incorporated into this device. Though the former is likely to be more expensive it would offer complete coverage against damage.
As to how exactly the self-healing property would work, Apple has not offered much detail. However, sources mention that it could contain a “layer of elastomer”.This material is stretchable, however, it can go back to its original shape. This sounds like a beneficial aspect of a self-healing foldable display.
Moreover, in addition to a foldable iPhone, Apple is also set to release the iPhone 16 with new features. Apple users are really curious about the tech giant’s upcoming gadgets.
